Defence minister ‘must be sacked’

POLAND: Former defence ministers united yesterday to demand the sacking of incumbent Antoni Macierewicz for undermining the image of Poland’s military at home and in Nato.
He had accused his predecessors of leaving the country defenceless through mismanagement and letting Russian agents influence military training.
The ex-ministers accuse him of discrediting the army, harming Poland’s image and encouraging its enemies.
