Racism in Football: Ludogorets ground partially closed by Uefa for first Champions League game

Ludogorets will have their ground partially closed for their first Champions League group home game after being punished for racist behaviour by fans.

The Bulgarian side face the Uefa sanction following a number of incidents in their final qualifier against Steaua Bucharest, including a €6,000 (£4,750) fine for improper conduct of the team, €5,000 (£3,950) for insufficient organisation and €5,000 for a pitch invasion.

The Romanian club is also being punished with a €50,000 (£47,500) fine for racist conduct by fans, €10,000 (£7,900) for setting off fireworks and throwing missiles and €4,500 for (£3,500) for improper team conduct.
