CRIME: A woman aged in her 80s fought off a robber yesterday by punching him in the face.
The plucky pensioner was walking her dog in an alleyway Kent when she was grabbed by the male attacker who was wearing black clothes and a hooded top to hide his face.
The elderly woman managed to fend off the mugger by punching him in the mouth in the incident which happened at 7.20am.
EDUCATION: The Department for Education spent tens of thousands of pounds on a film promoting their school reforms, figures showed yesterday.
A private company was paid more than £38,000, plus VAT, to create and produce the 30-minute video to plug Tory education policies like free schools and unqualified teachers.
