TRANSPORT Secretary Chris Grayling was threatened yesterday with a private prosecution for knocking a man off his bike in Westminster.
Cycling UK said it would help Jaiqi Liu if police do not prosecute the “dooring,” a criminal offence.
On October 12, Mr Grayling opened his car door into Mr Liu, hurting him and damaging his bike.
Just weeks later, he denounced cyclists as criminals in an interview.
Mr Grayling opposes protected cycleways that prevent “dooring,” which has seen people killed.
