HEALTH: Patients could be paying NHS dentists too much because practices are not clear about prices and treatment entitlement, a watchdog warned today.
Existing rules state that dentists must have a price list prominently on display in their surgery and set out treatment costs upfront.
But Which? found that 51 per cent of patients in the last six months did not see a price list and more than one in five did not understand pricing prior to treatment.
WORK: Almost three in five workers are considering moving jobs in 2015 because they are unhappy in their current roles, a new study found today.
The Investors in People (IIP) accreditation service, surveyed 2,000 adults and found that job satisfaction was more important than pay, while feeling valued at work also rated highly.
SCOTLAND: Westminster must adhere to both the “letter and the spirit” of the Smith Commission when draft devolution legislation is revealed later this week, the Deputy FM John Swinney said today.
Government publication of draft clauses to turn the recommendations into law must mark the beginning and not the end of a process to “empower” the Scottish Parliament, he said.
