Travelling bard Corbyn won’t reveal his oeuvre

JEREMY CORBYN has been penning poems on the campaign trail — but is refusing to reveal them.

The launch of his arts policies at Dalston’s Arcola Theatre was the 86th event he has addressed during the Labour leadership battle.

Asked whether he makes art, the Islington North MP said that he had been making the most of the journeys by writing “quite a bit of poetry, largely on trains.”

Unfortunately for fans, he said: “I’m not going to let you hear it or publish it. It’s going to remain private.”

Mr Corbyn also disclosed that he does “totally random paintings,” which he described as “abstract beyond belief.”

He added: “Someone looked at one in the house and asked me to describe it and I said: ‘You describe it to me because I haven’t got a clue.’

“I find the combination of colour and movement fascinating. And also enjoy making things with wood. Is that enough for you?”
