Green MEP Keith Taylor launches re-election drive in bus powered by chip fat

Green Party EU election candidates launch a two-week canvassing tour in a chip-fat-powered double-decker bus

Green MEP Keith Taylor launched his election drive yesterday in a chip-fat-powered double-decker bus.

Mr Taylor hopped aboard in Brighton along with fellow Euro candidates Alexandra Phillips, Jonathan Essex and Green MP Caroline Lucas.

The party’s battle bus will be touring the south-east England constituency until election day on May 22 in a bid to return Mr Taylor along with another candidate as some polls show the Greens ahead of Nick Clegg’s Lib Dems.

Mr Taylor said: “For me, the choice is stark at this election. People can vote for one of the Establishment parties, which offer different shades of business as usual. Or they can vote Green for the right kind of positive change.”

The Green Party also won a boost in the Eastern region as former Labour MP for Norwich North Ian Gibson revealed he will be voting for the party in the European elections.
