Labour's Karl Turner demanded yesterday to know how many Tory Party donors pocketed cash as a result of the firesale of Royal Mail.
The Hull East MP named Peter Davies of Landsdowne Partners as one Tory "set to rake in millions from this dodgy deal."
He explained to the Commons that Mr Davies was Chancellor George Osborne's "best man and best pal."
And Mr Turner probed Con-Dem ministers during business questions over the identity of the other "priority investors" who cashed in on Royal Mail privatisation.
He asked: "How many of the 12 lucky immediate winners are Tory Party donors?"
Business Secretary Vince Cable left it to under-fire understudy Michael Fallon to insist that half of shares handed to priority investors had not yet been flogged at a profit.
But dissatisfied with Mr Fallon's response, the dogged Labour MP used urgent questions to demand answers of Lib Dem Mr Cable - but to no avail.
