Posthumous award accepted by Bob Crow's partner

BRITAIN’S trades council movement has paid tribute to late RMT general secretary Bob Crow with a posthumous award accepted by his partner Nicola Hoarau.

The movement’s Silver Badge was presented at Congress House on Monday by Mr Crow’s friend and comrade Matt Wrack, general secretary of the Fire Brigades Union.

A TUC statement said: “Bob Crow had a lifelong commitment to the trades council movement and lauded the campaigning work of trades union councils at every opportunity.

“He was TUC trades union council champion and chairman of the trades union councils’ joint consultative committee (TUCJCC).

“The TUCJCC wanted to recognise the commitment that Bob had given to the trades council and union movement by awarding him, posthumously, the Trades Union Council Silver Badge.”
