Some of last year’s most inspiring campaigns shared their 2015 wishes and resolutions with the Star.
FOCUS E15 CAMPAIGN: “To enter the new year with the same outrage, enthusiasm and determination to continue to challenge Newham Labour council and link up with other campaigns.”
DISABLED PEOPLE AGAINST THE CUTS: “Get rid of the Con-Dems, make sure any other elected government can’t ignore real equality for disabled people, make democracy accountable to the people again and no longer just gives more to the rich.
“Prevent the destruction of the NHS and welfare state. Renationalisation of railways and improved public transport for disabled people.”
WARWICK FREE FOR EDUCATION STUDENTS: “To get rid of our Vice-Chancellor Nigel Thrift and win our demands! La lucha continua.”
FUEL POVERTY ACTION: “More grassroots collective action against the root causes of fuel poverty — community blockades when energy companies try to force unwanted prepayment meters on us or disconnect us from our energy supply.”
OCCUPY DEMOCRACY: “To continue building the movement for real democracy now by returning monthly to Parliament Square until the 2015 general election.”
