Film: Greedy Lying Bastards (12A)

A documentary that does what it says on the tin

Greedy Lying Bastards (12A)

Directed by Craig Scott Rosebraugh

3 Stars

This does what it says on the tin, unlike the greedy lying bastards who have been employing the usual dirty tricks and misinformation tactics to cast doubt on the efficacy of climate change.

Cleverly demonstrating that they're the same non-scientific cronies employed to stall the cigarette bans, the "bastards" read read like a Who's Who of those with an interest in fossil fuels, symbolised by Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court - the man who voted in President Bush.

It's a documentary packed with useful information. But it's preaching solely to the converted on the other side of the Atlantic, since it fails to bridge the cultural gap employed by satirists like Michael Moore.
