Chisora and Fury set for world eliminator in July

The British heavyweights' long-awaited rematch will take place at the Manchester Arena

Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury will take each other on in a final world title eliminator on July 26, promoter Frank Warren announced on Twitter yesterday.

The British heavyweights' long-awaited rematch will take place at the Manchester Arena a full three years after an out-of-shape Chisora lost by a wide points decision to his rival.

The winner will go on to challenge reigning IBF, WBA and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko, according to Warren.

Chisora has vowed to avenge his 2011 defeat at Wembley Stadium.

"I'm excited. I'm looking forward to this fight," Chisora told talkSPORT.

"Tyson has got one over me and he thinks he's the greatest fighter in Great Britain, but he's not.

"He hasn't fought any proper fighters, he's only been fighting cab drivers."

But Fury, who's won all 22 of his fights to date, compared to his 30-year-old challenger's 20 wins and four losses, hit back at his "journeyman" rival.

"Chisora could be one of those cab drivers because I've already beaten him once," said the 25-year-old.

"We're the best heavyweights in Britain and it will prove who should take on Klitschko.

"Chisora is nothing more than a glorified journeyman. I'm going to show you how much of a bum he is on July 26."

Promoter Warren said he'd be applying to make the fight a British title bout.

Fury is a previous British and Commonwealth champion but gave up the belts to concentrate on a world title.
