A GAY mother vowed to “shred” her Dolce & Gabbana clothes yesterday as LGBT trade unionists decided to boycott the brand, writes Joana Ramiro.

Unite LGBT members have joined a rapidly growing number of people snubbing the luxury fashion house after Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana came out against same-sex families.

Kai Rafe got a standing ovation after speaking in support of the emergency motion.

“All of my children have been brought up in a same sex family — not relationship, family,” she said.

“Family life should not be described by either sexual orientation or gender roles.

“Family is about providing a safe, loving environment for children to flourish, family is about creating stability, nurturing and education to future adults.

“That is my clear message to those who want to attack the rights of us who are parents.”
