ALL-NIGHT trains on London Underground’s Piccadilly line, which serves Heathrow airport, begin running this weekend.
Passengers catching early flights on Saturdays and Sundays will now be able to travel by Tube to the west London airport.
The night service runs between Cockfosters and Heathrow Terminal 5, but not on the Uxbridge branch or the Terminal 4 loop.
Weekend 24-hour trains already operate on the Victoria, Central, Jubilee and Northern lines.
The Piccadilly line has suffered disruption during the past three weeks as a number of trains have been taken out of service because of a problem with their wheels.
London Underground said a longer than usual period of leaf fall had damaged the wheels, and there was a backlog of repairs waiting to be carried out.
