A respectable £415 received yesterday at Morning Star HQ with the bulk of contributions coming in from my favourite ever-faithful standing orders.

Many thanks for £150 received from Anon and £15 received from a collection at the North West Ucatt BOSS meeting.

Thanks for the £10 received from an old friend in Cheltenham and £10 from Suffolk in the post.

The standing orders contributions weighed in at a total of £202 yesterday, including a £10 contribution from an FBU class warrior. Many thanks to you all.

£28 was received online, rounding off a fairly good day for the Fund, including £10 from a good friend of the paper in Bedford.

Please keep the donations coming in which allow us to continue to fight for socialism and to reclaim the Labour party for a party that represents working people. Michael Gove’s latest spurt that he wishes to be the heir to Blair is a stark reminder of the lack of battle of ideas in Westminster.

With Gove and Twigg trying to out-Blair each other, the opposition to academies and free schools is nowhere to be seen on the front benches, with teachers’ working conditions under brutal attacks.

We need to fight for a good local school for every child ran by the local authority – not by a businessman who sells carpets.

It is only the Morning Star which will fight for teachers and for quality education, so keep the money coming in please.
