Rains could dirty cleanest-ever beaches

EmailBritain's beaches are cleaner than ever, but marine experts warned today that recent rain could sully them with raw sewage and pollution from towns.
The Marine Conservation Society said a record number of beaches had got top marks for water quality in the latest Good Beach Guide.
Two-thirds of Britain's 754 beaches were rated "excellent" but four at Blackpool and St Annes were dirtier than acceptable.
