Drone attack on Miran Shah bakery kills four

Sunday 27 May 2012

A US drone controller blew up a bakery in Miran Shah on Saturday, killing four people who a Pakistani official claimed were foreign militants.
The victims were buying bread when two missiles hit. All of the dead were reportedly foreigners.

The Pakistani official spoke on condition of anonymity because he were not authorised to talk to the media.
The US rarely talks publicly about its CIA-run drone assassination programme in Pakistan because it is illegal under international law.
Pakistan’s parliament has repeatedly demanded the US stop the attacks, one of which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers on the Afghan border and prompted Pakistan to close key supply routes to Nato forces there.
The US said it was an accident.
