Cabbies fight deregulation

Hundreds of taxi drivers from across Britain will lobby Parliament tomorrow to warn that deregulation of the industy could make cab rides more expensive and dangerous.

Hackney carriage and private hire drivers from Unite, GMB and RMT unions will meet with MPs at the Houses of Parliament at 2pm to ask them to stop plans to allow private hire vehicles to tout for work at certain times.
