McKillop MoBots his way to gold

Sunday 02 September 2012

PARALYMPICS: Michael McKillop completed a golden night for the Irish on Saturday as he destroyed the field to win the T37 800m in a world record 1:57.22.

The runner mimicked the MoBot celebrated made famous by British long-distance runner Mo Farah as he crossed the line.

It capped a great day for Ireland after Jason Smyth had sealed his status as the fastest Paralympian on the planet as he broke the world record for the second day running to take gold in the T13 100 metres.
