Florent Malouda trains with Chelsea youth side

Wednesday 05 September 2012

FOOTBALL: Chelsea winger Florent Malouda revealed today that he had been banished from training with the Blues’ first-team squad for what remains of his Stamford Bridge career.

The 32-year-old took to Twitter to announce he was to keep fit with the club’s youth side, posting a picture of the headquarters of their under-21 squad along with the message: “This is where I’ll train for my last season with the blues !!!”

It is believes that the former French international, who is in the final year of his contract, was segregated after failing to secure a move away this summer.

His news coincides with yesterday’s announcement that Ryan Bertrand, the man who has effectively replaced Malouda, has penned a new five-year contract.
