The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) said on Thursday it will continue to allow political adverts but will require them to carry disclaimers.
The MTA had refused to carry adverts that demeaned a person or group on the basis of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation but a federal court forced it to run an ad implying that enemies of Israel were "savages."
Adverts with a political, religious or moral message will now have to include statements disassociating the MTA from the content and naming the advertisers.
