New plans don't go far enough

Wednesday 03 October 2012

At first I glanced over the article Haiti plans to boost wealth from mining speculators thinking they were planning to sell off some of their mines.

And I thought yes, so long as Haiti keeps the holding share like 60 per cent.

But then I turned back to the page to read the story more carefully.

To my absolute surprise and flabbergastation, I read the Haiti government is looking to increase their share - in the their own natural resources.

And to only between 9 and 12 per cent from the current 2 per cent!

No wonder the exploiting, greedy bastards keep countries like Haiti at the bottom of the wealth pile.
