Thousands of people from across Yorkshire and the Humber will be in London on Saturday for the TUC's A Future That Works march and rally against government cuts.
Regional TUC secretary Bill Adams said: "The impact of spending cuts and the government's obsession with austerity economics is hitting families hard in our region.
"Life has become unbearably difficult for many people, especially those who have come to rely on essential public services which are now being cut back or axed, and households where a family member is without any or enough work.
"Our region has been particularly hard hit, with unemployment in Yorkshire rising faster than any other part of the country over the last 12 months. This is why people from Yorkshire and the Humber are travelling to London to join the march."
Coaches are booked across the region and trains chartered from Leeds, York, Hull, Sheffield, Doncaster, Leeds and Wakefield.
Official inflation figures understate the real extent of rising costs, but even the government's own CPI scheme lays bare the ongoing misery for working people and those dependent on benefits.
