Let's all get behind the Tooting Two

Thursday 18 October 2012

It was great to see that Gary McKinnon won his campaign against extradition.

Two points that have always been argued are that first, he he should stand trial in this country and second, that he has Asperger's Syndrome (the decision was made on human rights grounds).

The two points I've just listed are also relevant to Talha Ahsan, but he lost his battle and his human rights were ignored.

Mr McKinnon is alleged to have hacked into Pentagon computers and Talha was alleged to have been involved with a website with connections to Chechnya and Afghanistan in the late '90's.

Mr McKinnon was labelled a hacker and Mr Ahsan a terror suspect.

Mr McKinnon's campaign had much media backing - including the Telegraph - whereas Mr Ahsan received only local support. Let's us all now support the campaign for the repatriation of the "Tooting Two."
