Is Savile case bigger than we think?

Friday 19 October 2012

Malcolm Burns, in his piece on the Jimmy Savile scandal (M Star October 16) suspects collusion and cover-ups by public authorities regarding sexual abuse in children's homes and hospitals.

It reminded me of the allegations approximately 30 years ago in the north of Ireland, at the Kincora - or a very similar name - children's home, of systematic abuse by senior public figures and officials.

The issue rapidly vanished from the media. I wonder if their visitors book at the time showed Savile turning up to "fix" something, or somebody?
