Bolton set for talks with Freedman

South London club in U-turn over Trotters' approach
Monday 22 October 2012

Football: Crystal Palace have allowed Bolton permission to speak to their manager Dougie Freedman over the vacant manager’s job at the Reebok Stadium.

Bolton, who are seeking to replace Owen Coyle, had an initial approach for Freedman rejected by the south London club this morning.

However their stance altered late this afternoon when they released a statement confirming that the Scot would now be free to speak to the Lancashire outfit.

Palace are currently fourth in the Championship — 12 places above Bolton.
