A descendant of Basque children who found refuge in Britain during the Spanish civil war is to give a talk at Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.
Carmen Kilner will speak on "the Basque children in Yorkshire" at Huddersfield town hall at 7.30pm on Monday, October 29.
In 1937 Britain gave refuge to 4,000 Basque children after nazi Germany's Luftwaffe Condor Legion bombed Guernica - subject of Picasso's famous painting.
