Enough on statues, let's have stories

EmailLike any good communist I'm not adverse to a symbol or statue lauding greatness. However I was taken aback to see a massive picture feature on a restoration project on a statue of Bruce (M Star November 27).
Really, that's national news now?
And underneath it a Scottish article with the heading "Independence debate must dump the rhetoric."
Come on Star, let's dump the shortbread, Irn Bru and Bannockburn.
We need to know the facts, not tartan propaganda in the run-up to 2014.
