Protesters get court date for road block

Thursday 10 January 2013

Three protesters will appear in court later this month charged with trying to obstruct the building of a controversial £93 million Hastings to Bexhill link road in Sussex.

Dominic Langford has been charged with wilfully obstructing the road and resisting arrest. He has been bailed to appear at Hastings magistrates' court on January 22.

Superintendent Trevor Botting said the protesters posed a hazard to traffic.

Oliver Sumerling and Alex Etchart have been charged with obstruction and assault. They will appear at the same court on the same date.
