SNP's Sandra White called Scottish Labour rivals "shameless" today over a campaign website claiming they opposed university tuition fees.
The Glasgow Kelvin MSP slammed a "highly misleading" statement on Labour's Red Kelvin website implying the party still supported free higher education - in a constituency with the highest proportion of students in Scotland.
"With Scottish Labour, there will be no up-front or back-end tuition fees for Scottish university students," the page reads.
"Scottish Labour is committed to higher education and is firmly positioned against fees in Scotland."
But leader Johann Lamont has routinely criticised the policy since September, saying poor Scots were "forced to pay" for others' degrees and that Scotland could not be "the only something-for-nothing country."
The site was last updated in April 2011 - but Ms White said today Ms Lamont had to ensure the page was updated immediately. "Not only is it dishonest to do otherwise, it is highly misleading," she said.
Official inflation figures understate the real extent of rising costs, but even the government's own CPI scheme lays bare the ongoing misery for working people and those dependent on benefits.
