Security guards and bailiffs started evicting anti-road-building protesters in East Sussex today.
Campaigners against the Hastings to Bexhill link road said they are resisting peacefully in treehouses and tunnels in the Combe Haven Valley.
More than 30 bailiffs arrived and the main access to their base camp was blocked, according to members of the Combe Haven Defenders.
Thirty activists set up camp late last month to stop the £93 million road.
