Campaigners scolded Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon today for fudging the truth about Scots' rights to government information.
She had rejected a raft of reforms tabled by rivals in Holyrood on Wednesday, including Labour bids to extended FOI laws to any body providing public services or employed on a contract worth more than £1 million.
Ms Sturgeon said the Scottish government had the power to include any such body under the existing act.
But the Campaign for Freedom of Information's Carole Ewart told the Morning Star Ms Sturgeon was misrepresenting the situation.
