More than 300 people packed a St Mary's Church in Wirksworth, Derbshire today to celebrate the life of Britain's oldest man Reg Dean, who died aged 110 earlier this month.
His son Christopher said his father had only ever wanted to help others and make a difference to their lives.
Mr Dean was heavily involved in charity work throughout his life and completed a sponsored walk from Nottingham to Derby at the age of 90.
Foreign Minister Alistair Burt's admission that the Cameron government has "supported" a survey of attitudes to US drone strikes in Pakistan's tribal areas amounts to a tacit admission of British involvement.
