Suitable honour for Tory IDS

Thursday 31 January 2013

Ian Duncan Smith should really be imprisoned for his services to the poorest and most vulnerable people in society. While the rich get bonuses, the poorest have their welfare benefits cut.

But, of course, in the media this injustice is swept under the carpet. People do not like to mention the suffering of the poorest. It is not polite.

A friend of mine was given a DWP medical test biased towards reducing his benefits. He did, in fact, have cancer, diagnosed by a fully qualified hospital consultant.

He failed the medical test and was deemed to be fit for work. Fortunately, after much hardship, he successfully appealed.

However, sick people like my friend have to go through long periods of worry and anxiety.

Mr Duncan Smith and his millionaire colleagues have little sympathy for the sick and the poor.

For this government the only people who really exist are the hard-working families whom they would encourage to work until they drop.
