Sammy's Great Escape (U)

Directed by Vincent Kesteloot and Ben Stassen
Friday 15 February 2013

In this sequel to A Turtle's Tale Sammy and Ray are caught by poachers and are shipped off to an aquarium in Dubai.

They then spend the rest of this 3D film hatching an escape plan as they are ogled at by rich tourists while they munch on crustaceans.

This is a film aimed squarely at the under-fives who will adore it, although it does contain some hair-raising moments as when a hideous couple brutally devour a lobster.

I didn't think this would be to my taste but it's a film which certainly surpassed my low expectations.
