Where does the anachronism that goes by the name Windsor fit into the Scottish Socialist Party's vision of an independent future for Scotland?

Should republicanism not be the first priority of anyone calling for the creation of a new country fit for the 21st century?

I sympathise with the Marxist view that the transformation of Britain into a federal republic would be a step forward.
