Councils should boycott G4S

EmailIt isn't just that G4S "bungled" the Olympics (M Star, December 7 2012).
They are guilty of profiting from privatisation, abusing migrants in detention and providing services to the Israeli prisons illegally holding Palestinian children in endless detention.
Every public-sector organisation should now be refusing to give them contracts, especially sensitive social services such as housing for vulnerable people and support for complex families.
It is their inhumanity, not just their incompetence, which makes them so gravely unfit for purpose.
