The SNP promises a written constitution for an independent Scotland, embedded in which will be Nato membership, the monarchy, sterling and an EU membership that in turn requires all the neoliberal provisions of EU treaty law to be incorporated.
This is what people will vote for in 2014. How will it be changed?
At the same time Ken writes off the combined strength of the trade union and labour movement and its ability to secure any progressive change at British level - including the kind of powers in Scotland for public and social ownership demanded by the Red Paper and being increasing called for across Europe and the world.
Ken's fantasy ignores the most basic reality of all.
The ownership of Scotland's economy, its banks and trade is controlled from the City of London.
This control is sustained by British state power and will continue unchallenged under the SNP constitution.
Any change has to come from a united movement against that class power.
