Builders protest at pay attack

Tuesday 19 February 2013

Workers building a nuclear waste storage silo at Capenhurst near Chester will demonstrate at the site from 6am tomorrow over attacks on terms and conditions.

According to union Unite, the site's owner Urenco and its contractor Jacobs are attempting to renege on bonus payments and dispute resolution procedures, which are part of the key NAECI national agreement.

The removal of the bonus payment will mean the workers will lose around £100 a week.
