Three Britons were among 19 people who died today following a hot air balloon crash near Luxor in Egypt.
Witnesses described how they had seen tourists jumping from the balloon after it exploded at 1,000ft.
It came down in sugar cane fields outside al-Dhabaa village, just west of Luxor city.
Tour operator Thomas Cook said it was working with local officials and a full investigation would be launched. The travel company has also temporarily suspended sales of hot air balloon rides in Egypt.
Thomas Cook UK has opened a hotline for concerned relatives - 0800 107-5638.
