Stamp prices to stay same

Friday 01 March 2013

Royal Mail said today the price of first and second-class stamps will stay the same this year.

First-class stamps will stay at 60p, while the cost of sending second-class letters will stay at 50p for the rest of the year.

The price of large letter stamps will also remain unchanged, at 90p for first class and 69p for second class.

Royal Mail said it had decided to keep stamp prices the same despite being given more freedom by regulator Ofcom to set prices.
