Anti-cuts campaigners said today that they will hold a protest on Saturday April 27 in Middlesborough against Tory-led attacks on public services.
Tees Valley Public Services Alliance is organising the march which will focus on the devastating impact austerity measures have had on Teesside - a region identified as one of the hardest hit by the cuts.
Middlesborough council last week implemented £12.5 million of cuts and a 2 per cent increase in council tax.
Labour MP for Middlesborough Andy McDonald will be among speakers including representatives of the campaign against the bedroom tax, trade unions and community groups.
