Military chiefs call for 'clear picture'

EmailThree retired military commanders urged the government today to provide the armed forces with a "clear and honest" picture of Britain's military ambitions.
In a report for the UK National Defence Association, Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Graydon, General Sir Michael Rose and Vice-Admiral Sir Jeremy Blackham said current spending on the armed forces was "incoherent."
Their Funding Defence report said military spending could provide an "excellent economic stimulus."
