Edinburgh International Festival director Jonathan Mills unveiled the programme for 2013 today, which will feature classic works contrasted against the modern world.
Arts lovers will be able to hear Beethoven in a spaceship and see Leonardo da Vinci take centre stage with modern technology.
The festival starts on August 9 but tickets go on sale on March 23.
