Joyce gets second pub ban

Friday 15 March 2013

Falkirk MP Eric Joyce was banned from buying or being served alcohol anywhere in the Palace of Westminster today after he was arrested following an alleged late-night brawl.

It is understood the independent MP was involved in an altercation at the Commons Sports and Social Club after apparently being told he could not take a glass with him when he went to a smoking area outside.

Mr Joyce was kicked out of the Labour Party and given a three-month pubs ban after headbutting two Tories in a Commons bar last February.
