A Journey - but not into history

While spontaneous decisions to move Tony Blair's A Journey to the crime section in bookshops seem fair enough, I would caution against any impulse to place it among the history books.
Not only does the former premier having nothing of value to say about the history of the Iraq war, he notes in the introduction that he doesn't do retrospection.
For those seeking some enlightenment on the history of the new Labour years the two volumes of Chris Mullins's memoirs are a better guide and at least a start on the contemporary history of the post-1997 period.
