The pair clash in Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, the venue in which Froch arguably produced the performance of his career back in May as he destroyed the previously unbeaten Lucian Bute inside five rounds.
With a record of 31-4-2, Mack boasts considerably less pedigree than the Romanian fighter, but Froch still believes that an entertaining evening is in store.
“I’ll just do what I do,” he said.
“People know what to expect and I’m expecting a fantastic night.”
Victory over Mack could set up an exciting 2013 for Froch, with returns against Mikkel Kessler, Andre Ward and Bute mooted. Froch, though, knows none of that can be possible without beating Mack.
“I’m not going to be complacent or lackadaisical, to take my eye off Yusaf Mack,” he said.
“I know I’ve got a job to do and I know that job could be a difficult one tomorrow night.”
