Morning Star's essential
Thursday 22 November 2012
It was frustrating to read (M Star November 2) that most if not all government departments do not include the Morning Star in their daily newspaper reading. This certainly exposes their true intentions regarding democracy, and towards their everyday citizens.
As a mother and grandmother who has also experienced waged work I could be described as apolitical, and have never been in a union, yet in order to know the real impact on the ground of policies made on high my daily Morning Star is essential. I also read the local regional paper for the same reason.
Whitehall departments which bar the paper are not merely out of touch, unconsciously elitist.
