But where is the call for a general election now to remove these Tory and Liberal liars once and for all?
Not from Labour, whose useless opposition was responsible for most of what the Tories are doing now, and which is committed not to repeal almost anything the Tories will have done by the time they eventually leave office.
Some sensible people in the public services and other trade unions have continued to raise the importance of a general strike. But this is a government that should be thrown out both industrially and electorally.
It isn't time for a new party of the left because the time for that has come and gone.
But it could be time for a new type of party, involving old and new, young and not so young, using communication that is both old fashioned and new fangled - something in which we can all say no more cuts, wars, or environmental damage, and something that positively calls for a peaceful, equal, fair, healthy society that is committed to making the planet safe for centuries to come.
