If you catch your husband "sexting" - quite a topical footballer activity at the moment - what would you do?
That's the conundrum posed in Atom Egoyan's stylish erotic thriller, a remake of the 2003 French film Nathalie which takes a fascinating look at long-term relationships, trust and fidelity in a technological age.
The response of gynaecologist Catherine (Julianne Moore) is to hire prostitute Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) and set a honey trap for her husband to see if he is fooling around.
The sensual and alluring hooker provides her with a blow-by-blow account after every encounter which Catherine finds increasingly arousing.
Moore is pretty convincing as the wife trying to save her marriage but who gets in too deep over her head and a convincing menage a trois is completed by Liam Neeson as Moore's husband.
I bought into it all, even Moore discovering her inner lesbian self. But the ridiculous final scene ruined the whole film for me.
Best wait till it goes to DVD.
